Movie poster analysis.

The main colour running throughout the poster is white, this creates the theme of love, it connotes purity. Also, the actors names are in pink, this is done as its more of a feminine colours which gives the impression the target audience is females and that the genre is romantic.

The dominant image really draws the poster together. Typically, the characters are young and beautiful. You can tell through the body language that the characters are in love, the light in the background shinning on them emphasises their happiness.

The title ‘The Vow’ is central making it the main focus point aside form the dominant image,  again the title is white which connotes purity but it also stands out making it easy to read. Underneath the title is reads ‘inspired by true events’ this is cleverly done by the designer of the poster as it entices the audience to want to see the film. The page layout if simple yet effective, it gives the audience is clear understanding that this is a romantic film without giving to much away  as we don’t get an idea of the setting for example.
